Why It's Important To Use Social Media Marketing To Provide Something Of Value To Your Potential Clients21 August 2011
In the last issue, you learned the right way to interact with your friends and fans on Facebook. In this issue, we are going to talk about using Facebook marketing to provide something of worth to your clients and customers.
Here's the fact: Over 50% of the whole Facebook community log in to their personal accounts daily. This reveals that with about 500 Million users of Facebook, over 250 Million are able to view your page.
Think of the large number of people that your company can reach out to. That represents enormous amounts of dollars in return.
However, not all business pages on Facebook are effective when it comes to attracting customers. You'll need to revise it whenever essential.
Despite the fact that it is primarily considered a social networking site, it would also do the company good to measure first what perception they want to give in their page.
Do you want to give a touch of corporate professionalism as an extension of your traditional office?
Do you want to make your business impressive, yet not too formal or high-maintenance to be considered by people?
Or do you simply want your page to be a customer service area where informal questions and inquires can be attended to?
It's important that you always regard value as your top priority whenever posting anything on your page. Avoid posting boring or unnecessary things. This means resisting the urge to post personal content or even things that seem interesting but aren't valuable to your audience.
Here are a few more suggestions you should bear in mind:
- Get Testimonials from Customers
It used to be that people who want to keep up with their families and friends would just have to visit their Facebook profile page, view photos, send messages and stuff like that. Nowadays, social media management presents numerous rewards to businesses. They can use customer feedback and testimonials as means to assure clients of the quality of their product. With that being said, asking your customers for feedback is a good idea. Of course, you would most appreciate highly constructive feedback if given voluntarily. However, this may not always be the case based on the excellence of your products or services. Consider offering special deals or gifts. For instance, how about a 5% discount for every nice feedback?
- Interact with Potential Customers
Whenever there are queries with regards to your products or services on Facebook, always make sure that you get back to them immediately. It would be a good impression for your Page and for your brand in general if their questions and issues are addressed at the earliest time possible. In case this is not possible, at least apologize for the late response.
To avoid throwing away your precious time addressing the very same queries over and over again, you might want to provide as much details as you can on your page. This is when the Notes section of Facebook comes handy.
- Upload Relevant Photos
Some use the Photos Page while others make pseudo-shops where they feature their products. Whichever is the case, always make sure that the photos are of high quality. Presenting photos that look wearisome and uninteresting won't appeal to prospects. Give as much detail as necessary. When working with retail for example, zoom towards areas where there are intricate details which highlight a clothing item's quality.
Keep these simple tips in mind when interacting with your friends and fans for a successful Facebook marketing venture.
