Basics & Introduction To The Different Types Of Hosting Servers04 May 2012

It's not so inconvenient to rattle off a quick introduction to the different types of hosting. But the only thing that will make all the tech-speak worthwhile is if each type is paired up with a specific kind of customer profile. So let's start with the technical details, and then try to figure out the customer profile that fits each type.

Every package offered by a web hosting company is likely to be categorized under one of four broad categories, defined by the selection of servers. This means shared, dedicated or virtual private servers. There's also one option above and beyond these three, which is the option of hosting on a cloud where the customer accesses required resources thru the internet.

OK, we're done. Need more details? When many customers are given access to limited resources and tools on the same machine, that's called shared hosting. In contrast, a dedicated server is where the entire server is used exclusively by one customer who has full access to its resources.

VPS is a middle of the road solution where hypervisor technology is used to create virtualized instances of a server for each client. So while the client is actually getting only one of several partitions on a server, it seems as if the client has exclusive use of a full server. The client gets the same administrative rights and control as with a dedicated server.

In a category all of its own is the last option - cloud hosting. There's no need for the client to maintain an IT infrastructure with complex networking and servers and staff. All the resources and software and files necessary can be accessed through a web browser. The technology is hard to explain here, but the sum of it is that it is like a vast electricity grid where each customer pays for personal usage.

There isn't that much more to categorize under shared servers, but the balance options do require choosing from further sub-types. The most important choice is whether to opt for a managed server, or an unmanaged one. In the former case, the host company handles all the administration. In the latter one, the customer has complete responsibility for administration, including setup of the operating system, web server and any and all tools that may be required.

That should definitely be enough to understand the choices. What needs to be done now is to match these choices against specific types of customers. Let's start with small companies or individuals planning to run a personal or commercial site. For these customers, a simple shared server package is adequate, since the site will get relative low traffic and has no need for additional security.

On the other hand, the heavily trafficked websites of large companies store financial records, process ecommerce transactions, store customer data and other valuable information. These websites definitely need the power and control of a dedicated server. If the financial capability is not there for a dedicated server, then VPS may be a temporary solution until the company's traffic and hosting needs grow to the next level.

Even bigger companies will have outgrown this stage too, and currently have a large IT setup with servers and staff. This kind of company can save a lot by getting rid of all the overheads and moving to a cloud. It's not just about savings, but also about harnessing the tremendous power of a data center while only paying for whatever resources have been accessed. Read more at Web Designer

Psychological Selling Principles - A Brief Tutorial02 April 2012

Imagine you have the world's best solution to something, that is great as long as you are able to prove it and convince people in your market of that fact. Join us as we go deeper into this fascinating yet often misunderstood and overlooked area of business.Epic Traffic Bot

Sometimes it seems that we are constantly in "want" mode as we see something we want and then work to acquire it. Among other important things, you have to have some kind of solution that people are looking for in the market. You will of course need to choose your niche carefully as well as the products you wish to promote. Obviously, your ability to communicate the benefits of your product or service will determine a large part of your success. Once you have poured your guts out to them on paper, you never really know what is the one thing that compelled them to buy. People will read your marketing and ad copy, hopefully, and the degree to which you succeed in conveying these points will determine much.Success With Anthony review

Yes, we humans are very predictable, and one way that is demonstrated is by watching what they do during the buying cycle. Human beings are highly social and this very psychological factor plays a major role in creating and making more sales. Of course we are talking about using effective testimonials in marketing and sales copy. Testimonials give potential buyers some measure of reassurance, unless you are in the internet marketing niche which is a terribly jaded bunch of people. If you have no customers or testimonials, then that is all right because you can get people to review your product for you which is a legitimate practice.

You can't force people to buy something from you, no matter how good the product is that you're selling. If you want someone to buy your product, you need to show them exactly what they'll be getting out of it. We all want our products to appear to be the greatest thing, but that does not mean it is a good idea to embellish the facts. Your market has a need that your product has to fulfill if it is supposed to, and that is what you need to convey in a convincing manner. Once you start going down that road of the hard sell, your conversions will plummet. You have different approaches available to you, and so you pick the one that is appropriate and write your copy.

So work to build trust and good relationships, and then always offer them great products. This is something that takes continued effort on your part because people are willing to walk away from you if you lose their trust.
