3. Become a problem solver for your customers. If you cannot find the answer yourself, help the customer find someone who can. This should be the case whether your business profits from doing so or not. The customer will appreciate your willingness to help them, and will come straight back to your business the next time they need your goods or services.

4. Keep in mind that the goal is to make the customer happy. Therefore, if your customer has a reasonable request which falls slightly outside the lines of company policy, it is okay to bend the rules.

5. If you have employees or contractors, make sure that you set a good example for them by showing them the same amount of care as you do your customers. 6. Ensure that your customers keep coming back. Create a great customer service plan, and make sure that everyone in your organization has a copy.
