Rewrite PLR Ebooks and PLR Articles: Some Great Ideas On How To Practically Do It10 November 2011
It is no exaggeration to say that PLR articles and ebooks might be very useful resources for hard-working marketers who are trying to develop their online businesses. Not only can PLR articles and e-books be picked up for a quite low price; they also are valuable because most of the research and writing has already been done for you.
The trouble with PLR products is, however, in many cases, that you are not the only one online who will be using it. Many online marketers know about the power of private label rights products and are using such content to improve their own profits. So it isn't impossible that the material you have before you has also been bought by dozens, or hundreds, or even thousands of other such marketers, many of which have posted that material, in some form or other, on their blog or website.
How to Succeed with PLR
The lesson here is simply the following: you have to revise every PLR ebook and PLR article significantly in order to make it unique. One reason for doing so is that the search engines like unique content.
Another reason for providing unique e-books and articles is that it serves your clients better. For which visitor likes to come to a website or blog and find an article that he has already read somewhere else, written by someone else? So even if you may not be punished by the search engines for duplicate content, your visitors may very well protest or become skeptical.
And there is also an additional reason. For no author thinks exactly as you do. So after having acquired that PLR ebook or article you may realize that it was not all that well put together, according to your standards. Maybe there should have been an extra paragraph in the first chapter? Maybe the writing style doesn't sound like it was written by you? Whatever your complaint is, fix it by some modifying of your own.
Here, then, are some methods on how to alter your PLR article or PLR ebook so that it may become more unique and more interesting to your readers:
1. Alter the title
Sometimes PLR articles and ebooks have titles that do not suit the text. So then you should change the title into something that is more to the point. This is particularly important for proper search engine optimization. florida web design . Stay on topic.
It may, of course, turn out that the title in the PLR content you bought was NOT ill-chosen, at least not for the purpose the original author planned it to be used for. But you may want to change the material a bit to make it work for your customers and yourself. That way, you still may have to reword the title. Play around with Google's free keyword tool to determine which keywords you could target.
2. Reshuffling paragraphs
PLR material is not always perfect. Sometimes it is written in a very unstructured way, in which paragraphs do not flow in a very logical way. (So it is wise to get some samples of the texts before you buy any PLR package!)
Whatever the reason for this is, you may be able to fix it, or at least make it better. Just copy and paste some of the paragraphs so that you make a better flow. Even without typing a new word!
3. Erase paragraphs
Another way to change a PLR ebook or article into something better is to scrap some paragraphs here and there. This is especially important to do in low-quality PLR material, where there normally is a lot of questionable content that needs to be dealt with.
4. Rewrite paragraphs
Another method of editing the PLR e-book or PLR article may be to do some substitution editing. This is technique where you keep the same basic paragraph idea, but express it in other words. So doing some substitution editing of the phrase "Forex trading is a profitable business" may, for instance, generate phrases such as "Foreign exchange currency trading is a lucrative business".
5. Making paragraphs more extensive
Although the previous editing method of substituting text is very useful, the most important editing of the text is one where you expand paragraphs. This will make your text both more unique and more helpful to your audience.
My idea of expanding paragraphs is, however, not just a point about putting more words into the text. It is about adding new "items" in the text. Examples can be new reasons, new arguments, new conclusions, new questions, new data, etc.
Such an extension may sometimes result in quite long paragraphs, in which case you may want to consider splitting up the longer paragraphs into several shorter ones. This is only a good thing, for it makes your article or ebook even less of a duplicate of the original PLR material.
6. Include Relevant Links
Some PLR content packs include helpful links and keywords that were used to create the content. In some cases you might want to put in those links in your articles and ebooks. In other cases you may decide to use your own product links or your own affiliate links to make more money.
But no matter what you choose to do, be careful with relevance. Do not, in most cases, add links that are not relevant to the text. So if you, for example, have written an ebook or article on forex trading, don't include a link to a page on how to train a poodle. Stick to the topic.
Final remarks
Using PLR articles and PLR e-books may certainly be a step towards an increase of your internet income. But be careful to really edit your PLR articles and ebooks so that they become not only unique but also factually correct and interesting to study.
Also adding other items and components to your ebook or article, such as photos, illustrations, graphs and videos may make your audience even more satisfied with your product. So adjust carefully and wait for your profits to increase!

CommentRewriting PLR Articles And Ebooks: Who Will Do It?23 August 2011
Private Label Rights (PLR) articles and ebooks are great tools for making an internet business really lucrative; or, if already profitable, even more so. By using texts that are already composed, one may speed up the process of distributing those texts in a variety of places: as online articles, ebooks, and even as printed books.
The trouble is, however, that exploiting PLR material is not as easy or quick as many are trying to make it sound. For example, those who sell PLR content, and those who do business in the PLR world, many times wish to say that the practice of using PLR content is an easy road to success. But that may not necessarily be the case.
The Problem
The difficulty is this: to be able to make the most of it, one has to thoroughly edit the PLR content to a considerable extent, not just slightly. This is to guarantee that the search engine robots are going to index the text favourably, and to assure that the audience are not presented with articles and e-books that they have already read somewhere else.
So the challenge is to learn the art of rewriting PLR articles and PLR e-books so that the material will become significantly unique. One could rearrange paragraphs or even delete whole paragraphs. Or one might want to expand paragraphs and add new questions, points, arguments, reasons, or data. Or one may decide to insert illustrations, graphs, photographs, or videos. Anything to make the article or ebook have a special feel.
Who Has Time to Do It?
But perhaps are you now asking the question: "How in the whole world will I practically have time for that? After all, I bought the Private Label Rights products in the first place to avoid having to do a lot of work. So why am I now confronted with the very same work that I tried to avoid?"
It is true, of course, that the sort of work involved in rewriting a PLR ebook or article may be similar. But the actual amount of work is not very comparable. Rewriting and rearranging a PLR ebook or PLR article, even with a rather extensive rewrite, is much less time-consuming and agonizing than writing everything from the ground up.
Moreover, you may not have to do all that editing yourself either. You may draw on other parties to finalize the rewriting process.
Here are some interesting alternatives so that you can get the rewriting of your PLR article or PLR ebook done: (1) Utilize software; (2) Hire a ghostwriter; (3) Call a guest blogger; (4) Do it yourself.
1. Use Software
Some software products in the market can be used to change (or "spin") PLR ebooks and PLR articles to construct new articles and ebooks. But you must be very watchful. Some applications may modify the "feeling of the e-book or article, or use poorly selected synonyms for expressions and words that either can transform your article into gibberish or at least make it seem odd in some sense.
It is thus almost at all times essential to examine the newly generated content by hand after it has been processed by the software. It is quite likely that you may have to take a new round of rewriting after it has been "spinned".
2. Appoint an External Writer
Appoining a professional freelancer to create completely novel content to your website could be practically impossible for a new site owner, since really novel content might be quite expensive.
Nevertheless, since you already have picked up the PLR articles or e-books, the goal is not to create unique material from scratch, but only to do some editing using different words, and possibly also expanding on some of the premises and conclusions here and there.
It may be a useful idea to bundle up a dozen or two Private Label Rights articles at a time (or a whole PLR ebook), and then ask your ghostwriter for a "package price" for the full set. That way you may be able to get a better quote per page than if you just ordered one or two individual articles.
3. Use a Guest Blogger
Perhaps you could use a guest blogger to write on your blog? You may tell her or him that you have PLR material that she or he can utilize. That way you could generate new material for your blog without you being involved in any editing of your own.
One potential problem with such an idea might be, of course, that the freelancer may expect to get paid, or to be able to post some links to their own websites and blogs, or ask for some other compensation. You will have to see what they ask for, and then determine whether or not you think the particular arrangement is suitable for your purposes.
4. Rewrite It All On Your Own
If you are very much into writing (or at least are willing to do it even if you don't enjoy it), you might consider doing all (or some of) the rewriting yourself. Whatever the case may be, modifying a good-quality Private Label Rights article or e-book is considerably less problematic than writing everything from scratch.
The advantage of doing the job yourself is that you have absolute control over the final outcome, both stylistically and in terms of content. Supposedly you also have much knowledge of whatever subject matter it is that your articles and ebooks are about, and for that reason you might probably be capable of editing the PLR texts faster and better than a writer who doesn't have that background.
Summing Up
PLR ebooks and articles are great assets. But they must be significantly edited to be lucratively used in your internet business.
The good thing about all of this is that you don't necessarily have to do all of the rewriting and rearranging yourself (but the result may be superior if you do). Additional ways to produce a modification of the Private Label Rights content would be to use special "spinning" software system, to hire freelance ghost writers, or to contact a guest blog writer.
So go right ahead and stuff your website or blog with great, uniquely rewritten and sensitively repurposed PLR content. Your potential customers will appreciate it!
