Article Marketing
Learn How I Get Traffic14 August 2011
When you've been caught by scam after scam, it becomes very difficult to stay positive. Oh yes, I dabbled in the pay per click, didn't know what I was doing, lost my shirt. I can afford 5 cents per click but when other companies are willing to pay 5 dollars, I'm smart enough to take myself out of the game.
I've tried joining forums and linking back to my site in my signature. Well, for all the work and usernames and passwords and so little people seeing it, it's just not worth my time. I have kids to look after and a house to run. Not to mention all my sites.
Now, if the heavenly search engines would just rank me number one for my keywords, I would be laying on a beach in hot weather with not a care in my mind. Let's just hope that is my future. Then I can claim to be one of those gurus. For now I will settle for being where I am, still honest.
OK, back to traffic. So since forums are a waste of time and pay per click is a waste of money when then. Well, blogging can work if you already have a ton of traffic to that blog. I hear about press releases, but I can't be bothered to spend the money. I would rather write an article that doesn't cost me any money.
Social bookmarking can be effective, but it's other people who need to bookmark you, so if they don't get to your site, how can they know you are there?? MySpace or Facebook, again you are only reaching a limited number of people. Sure after you get going it can be a way to boost your traffic, but first we need to get started.
From experience, the fastest, cheapest way of getting good traffic is through article marketing. That's where you write an article like this and send to it out to various sites. If you write good articles, you can get hundreds and sometimes thousands of visitors per day, in less than one month. Of course it depends on the sites you submit to and how many articles you write.
Ezine articles are perhaps one of the most popular sites for submitting articles to and also have some of the highest standards. What I suggest is writing your articles submitting it there. If it gets approved, you can submit it to other sites.
Free article submitters are available if you search them out. Usually, they are some kind of stand alone software that will run on your computer. These submitters can make your life a little easier and make the process faster.
There is a downside, however. These submitters hold static information for only about 100-200 sites. The sites they have are general article directories with no specific topic in mind. Search engines will rank these lower than category specific sites. Also, it will be the exact same article on each and every site. Again, not something the search engines particularly like.
