The question is...Why do you need a Ecommerce Website?

If you do your selling using Online Store software then you will have a log of every step your buyer completes in the pruchase process.
That is very helpful if a customer has a problem and can’t complete the purchase process. This log will show you if the problem is on your end, or something the buyer may be doing.
Another way you can use this log is to see if the pruchase process is too dificult, or too long, or maybe some other problem. You’ll know something is wrong when many possible buyer’s leave somewhere in the middle of the purchase process. The log will help you track down those places that customers tend to stop, and leave.

Below is a copy of the log for a completed purchase in
JV Manager.
[] initiating new sale record
[] first order step complete, proceeding to customer and payment details
[] marked as PAID
[] checking for commission
[] no tier 1 commission for no affiliate
[] no charity commission for no charity affiliate
The first ling of the log shows that the buyer clicked on the Buy button, and was then taken to the First Order page.
The First Order page just asks for the customers email address to see if they are a returning customer. It also displays what they are purchasing, and the cost. Once the email address has been inputted the second line is complete and the buyer moves to next page when they click on Buy, and are taken to whatever payment processor is setup. When payment is complete the third line is marked Paid, and the delivery process is started.
If at any time the buyer cancels it shows me where they stopped and I can investigate why.
