Add about a tablespoonful of sugar to the vase water and stir until the sugar dissolves before putting the flowers in. The cut blooms will continue to undergo the process of photosynthesis when there is sugar in the water; hence, the flowers will continue to be fresh longer.
Regularly Changing The Water
A good florist will often replace the water in the flower buckets. We can also observe this system. Bacteria are the primary cause of advanced wilting and decomposition of the blossoms. Hence, replacing the water in the vase every 2 days discourages the growth of bacteria and retaining the freshness of any floral arrangement.
Minimizing Exposure To The Elements
Flowers are very delicate, and very high or very low temperatures can ruin their petals.
